The common name for Sigesbeckia is St. Pauls Wort, not to be confused with St. John’s Wort which is a different plant entirely and has different properties.

Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets™ has been licensed by the UK regulatory agency, the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA), as an OTC (“over the counter”, available without a prescription) product under the Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products (THMP) Directive for the relief of backache, minor sports injuries, rheumatic or muscular pains, general aches and pains in the muscles and joints based on traditional use only. Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets™ is the first traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) licensed under the THMP Directive in the UK.

You won’t be able to get them prescribed from a doctor. They are however available over the counter from Boots, Well Pharmacy, Holland & Barrett and some independent pharmacies. Alternatively, they are also available online from Boots and Holland & Barrett as well as from our own website.

Adults 18 years and older.
▸ Who should not take Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief tablets?
Do not take Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets if you are allergic to Sigesbeckia or any plant of the Asteraceae family including daisies, marigolds or artichokes, or are allergic to any of the other ingredient use to make the tablet.
▸ How do I take Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief tablets?
Adults (18+) and the elderly: Take one tablet, twice daily (one in the morning and one at night). Tablets should be swallowed whole with a little water or other liquid. Do not exceed the stated dose.
▸ Who should not take Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief tablets?
Do not take Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets if you are allergic to Sigesbeckia or any plant of the Asteraceae family including daisies, marigolds or artichokes, or are allergic to any of the other ingredient use to make the tablet.
▸ How long will it take to start working?
As there are many causes of joint and muscle pain and everyone is different, the time in which individuals will notice relief from the product may be varied. We therefore recommend that customers complete a 4-week course to help gain the best benefit. Some people find that they feel relief within a short period of time whilst with others it may take up to 6 weeks. Because Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets™ is derived from the Sigesbeckia plant, they work differently to conventional painkillers and you may not feel the benefit instantly. However, based on feedback that we have received, some customers that were taking conventional painkillers, sometimes prescribed by their doctor, found that as they continued to take Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets™, they were able to gradually reduce the number of conventional painkillers.

You must speak to a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner if your symptoms worsen, if they do not improve after four weeks, or if side-effects occur after taking this product. Providing none of the above is true, and you are benefiting from taking Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets™, then you can continue to take the product for as long as you are gaining relief.
▸ What are the ingredients?
The active ingredient in the tablets is a water extract of the medicinal plant Sigesbeckia orientalis. It has been used traditionally to treat a wide range of inflammatory conditions. In addition to the active ingredient, the tablets also contain various inert excipients that are required to make it into tablets. All of the excipients are commonly used and of high standard pharmaceutical grade and you'll find them in most tablet products. Active ingredient: Each film coated tablet contains 500mg of extract (as dry extract) from *Sigesbeckia orientalis L. subsp. pubescens aerial parts (equivalent to 4-5g of *Sigesbeckia orientalis L. subsp. pubescens (Makino) H. Koyama). Extraction solvent: Water Other ingredients: Tablet core: Anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid Tablet coating: Hypromellose, titanium dioxide, talc, mastercote yellow (composed of hypromellose, yellow iron oxide E172 and titanium dioxide E171).

There are no known contra-indication for taking Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets™ with anti-coagulants or blood thinners.
▸ Are Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets™ an anti-inflammatory medicine?
Sigesbeckia extract has anti-inflammatory probertites. Phynova Joint and Muscle Pain Relief Tablets™ contains Sigesbeckia.
▸ Will Phynova Joint & Muscle Relief tablet's make me drowsy?
To date, Phynova has not received any reports of drowsiness however as each person can react differently to medicines, they should not drive or use machinery until they are sure they have not experienced drowsiness.
▸ Can children take Phynova Joint & Muscle Relief tablet's?
No. The product should not be taken by children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
▸ Should I tell the hospital that I am taking Phynova Joint & Muscle Relief tablets before a medical procedure?
Yes. Whilst there are no known interactions with other medicines, including general anaesthetics, it is always good practice to inform healthcare professionals of any herbal medicines that you are taking.
▸ Can I take the product if I’m pregnant, trying for a baby or breastfeeding?
The safety of this product during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. In the absence of sufficient data the use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended. Orders of up to three boxes of Phynova Joint & Muscle Relief tablets are letter box friendly and will be delivered by Royal Mail. For all other orders If you are out when Royal Mail come to deliver your parcel, they will either deliver it to a neighbour, leave it in a safe place or take your goods back to a local collection point where you will be able to collect them later. In all cases Royal Mail will post the details through your letterbox.
